Electrolysis (Hair Removal)

Do You Dread Your Monthly Waxing Appointment or Daily Shaving Routine?

Do you often find yourself embarrassed by excess hair? Have you ever taken the time to shave or pluck only to find a rogue hair or rough patch looking back at you hours later? Would you like a long-term solution to keep those pesky unwanted hairs at bay for good? If so, it might be time to start thinking about lifelong hair removal with electrolysis.

Electrolysis for hair removal has been around for decades. This minimally-invasive procedure has helped countless patients achieve smooth, hair-free skin with a series of simple in-office visits. The procedure is quick, easy, and virtually pain-free… making it a go-to solution for patients with busy lifestyles.

How Does Electrolysis Work?

Hair removal with electrolysis is done by a specially-trained Electrologist. The process involves removing individual hairs via an ultra-fine probe and surgical tweezers. With advanced electrolysis technology, we’re able to minimize pain during treatment and keep unwanted side effects at bay. Men and women can achieve long-lasting hair reduction with most results lasting a lifetime.

Am I a Good Candidate for Electrolysis?

The ideal candidate for electrolysis is a man or woman who is ready for a long-term hair removal solution. Patients should have a good understanding of how the procedure works and be willing to commit to a series of appointments. Electrolysis is a good alternative to laser hair removal for patients with fine or lightly colored hairs and for patients with dark hair on dark skin.

Electrolysis is a safe and effective procedure for hair removal throughout the face and body. Common treatment areas typically include:

  • Eyebrows
  • Upper Lip
  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Chest
  • Abdomen

Our Electrologist will assess your candidacy and customize a treatment plan at the time of your in-person consultation based on your individual needs.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?*

The amount of time your treatment will take can vary significantly depending on the treatment area. Because hairs are removed individually, the process can sometimes be a lengthy one. Smaller areas may be able to be treated in just 15 minutes, while larger regions such as the legs can take over 1-hour. Most patients tolerate the procedure quite well, but a topical anesthetic can be applied for patients with sensitive skin.

What Results Will I See?*

The majority of patients see initial results immediately. However, a series of treatments is typically necessary to achieve an optimal outcome. Treatments are spaced a couple of weeks apart and performed until desired results are met. Electrolysis is a long-term solution, and most patients enjoy lifelong results once treatments are completed.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is no downtime associated with electrolysis. Hair removal with the minimally-invasive treatment has very few side effects. Some patients experience slight redness or swelling which often subside several minutes to 1-hour post-treatment.
